Center for Faith and Life
In its witness to Jesus Christ, The Center for Faith and Life serves adults and congregations through conferences, seminars, partner programs, and summer worship in Montreat.

Conferences
The conferences are designed with the spiritual needs of adults in mind—from those facing the start of new careers and young families to those who know the challenges of mid-life changes and of caring for aging parents to those church professionals who seek to help their people along their journey.
Montreat’s premier conferences are the Signature Conference in May and the Montreat Institute for Church Leadership in October. They are crafted by Montreat’s Master Planning Team of nine visionary leaders from across the Presbyterian Church (USA) who develop these two conferences with bold imagination, and address the needs of adults who search to discern God’s call for the 21st century.
Seminars

Adult seminars are offered throughout the year. One-day events focus on a single topic with a single leader while three-day programs are designed to dig deeper. These may cover subjects such as marriage enrichment and parenting to self-expression through art forms to learning new leadership tools for ministry.

Partner Programs
With over one hundred years of conference experience, Montreat serves as a vital partner and host site for organizations and institutions that want an ideal natural setting for their program offerings. Partnerships with Presbyterian Association of Musicians, Columbia Theological Seminary, Presbyterian Multicultural Network, Presbyterians for Renewal, McCormick Theological Seminary, Union Presbyterian Seminary, the Interim Ministry Consortium, and others provide broad range ecumenical programs for adults in Montreat each year.
New program partnerships are always on the horizon at Montreat, and Merri Alexander is ready to brainstorm with planners looking for a wondrous location in God’s five-star world for their next event.
Worship

During the summer months, it is the high privilege of Montreat Conference Center to host the community gathered to worship the Triune God. In Services for the Lord’s Day, Montreat welcomes summer visitors, conferees, cottagers, vacationers, and conference leadership. As the community is gathered around Font, Word, and Table—offering its praise and thanksgiving to God through thoughtfully crafted liturgy, musical gifts of the community and the world, proclamation of the Word and celebration of the sacraments—the people offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world.
Periodically, Montreat Conference Center will have photographers or videographers on campus to capture the Montreat experience. By enrolling in a conference at Montreat Conference Center, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or videotaped for publicity purposes. Learn more…
