July 8-11, 2009

John Calvin

John Calvin 1509-2009

As Presbyterians celebrate the 500th anniversary of Calvin’s birth in 2009, it is an opportunity to rediscover Calvin’s significant and sometimes misunderstood legacy – his monumental contributions to theology, church government, education, language, music, and politics. Montreat Conference Center is honored to be one of numerous sites worldwide that will host scholars and all who wish to learn more about John Calvin for lectures, discussions, and of course, a birthday party!

Get to know John Calvin better during the Calvin Jubilee and you may find that a deeper engagement with the man and his legacy will enhance your appreciation not only of Calvin, but of the entire Presbyterian tradition.
