TRANSPORTATION TO & FROM SKI RESORT
Transportation to Sugar Mountain is scenic, safe, and comfortable, aboard fully equipped 47-passenger coaches. Buses depart Montreat at 7 AM on Saturday. Upon arrival at Sugar Mountain, Montreat staff will assist skiers as they proceed directly to Equipment Rental and onto the slopes. Boxed lunches from Montreat will be provided. Skiers will turn in equipment and load buses at 4 PM to return to Montreat for dinner, evening worship, and mixers. Included in “Deluxe” Package; “a la carte” cost TBA.
ACTIVITIES FOR NON-SKIERS
Those choosing to stay in Montreat will participate in recreational events in the morning, and will have the afternoon free to explore the area on their own. Suggestions we provide may include: hiking, ice skating, a climbing gym, bowling, miniature golf, movies, shopping, museums, and a nature center. (Some off-site activities may cost extra.) It is recommended that groups agree ahead of time on an alternate activity for Saturday afternoon in the case of warm weather.
SNOW BOARDING
Snowboarders should sign up for the Montreat Package plus lift ticket, transportation to and from Sugar Mountain, snowboard rental, and snowboard lesson (if desired). YOU MUST BRING A CREDIT CARD TO SUGAR MOUNTAIN. You will be charged a $400 deposit for each snowboard at the time of rental. This deposit will be refunded when snowboard is returned. “A la carte” cost TBA.
SNOW TUBING
Tubers should sign up for the Montreat Package, plus transportation to and from Sugar Mountain, and arrange for a tubing session on their own through Sugar Mountain. Lift tickets not required, but there is a ticket price. Ticket purchased at Sugar – cost TBA.

SKI LESSONS
First time skiers are strongly encouraged to take a lesson. Included in “Deluxe” package; “a la carte” cost TBA.
SKI EQUIPMENT RENTAL
Sugar Mountain Resort’s rental shop staff will fit you with the right equipment to suit your ability and needs. Included in the “Deluxe” package; “a la carte” cost TBA.
SKI APPAREL
Layers are best. Thermal underwear bottoms are essential. A knitted hat will conserve 40% of the body’s heat. Good ski gloves are really worth the money, and eye protection is recommended. Feet do best in a thin sock liner covered by a single, thick boot sock. Water-resistant pants are suggested for beginner skiers, and especially for beginner snowboarders.
LIFT TICKETS
A lift ticket is required for skiing and snow boarding. Included in “Deluxe” package; “a la carte” cost TBA.
SKING ON SUNDAY
Montreat Conference Center does not make arrangements with the ski resort for Sunday skiing; but we will be happy to provide a skiers’ breakfast at 6:30 AM upon advance request.
CHOOSING OPTIONS
A “Ski Package Options” form will be sent with your registration confirmation. This will allow you to tell us what options you want to select for each person in your group. We will calculate your grand total at that time.
