“Great is God’s Faithfulness”

We all need time away to rekindle our hearts for God…a retreat for our souls… The Christian Life Conference (CLC) is just that. Come away to CLC 2010 and be refreshed and renewed. The Christian Life Conference is a unique multi-generational experience in the beautiful mountain setting of the Montreat Conference Center near Asheville, NC. Give the Lord three days of your summer, and He’ll meet you through meaningful worship, great preaching and Bible teaching, seminars on many different topics that will enrich your Christian life and witness, special ministry tracks for children, youth, and college students, rich Christian fellowship, and an opportunity to remember why all of this matters. Presbyterians For Renewal

This conference is a ministry of presbyterians for renewal. Host congregations are First Presbyterian Church of Florence, SC and First Presbyterian Church of Darlington, SC.

Conference Leaders

Dr. James Singleton

  • Dr. James Singleton, Theologian, evangelist, historian, pastor, Jim was born into the home of a Presbyterian minister where he was instilled with the deep love of Jesus Christ. Active in the life of the church ever since, he has served as senior pastor of First Presyterian Church, Colorado Springs since 2005. Jim holds degrees from Rhodes College, Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and Boston University School of Theology. Montreat has held a special place in Jim’s life and we are delighted to welcome him back.

Dr. Dale Bruner

  • Dr. Dale Bruner is one of the most soughtafter Bible teachers in the PC(USA). He came to know Christ and grew in faith at First Presbyterian in Hollywood, CA. He graduated from Occidental College, Princeton Seminary, and Hamburg University (Germany). An author and a teacher, Dale taught at Union Theological Seminary in the Phillippines for 11 years and then began a long and illustrious tenure at Whitworth University, Spokane, WA.

Early Morning Inspiration

Sara Singleton

  • Sara Singleton is also the child of a Presbyterian minister. After working as a registered nurse for 20 years, Sara heard the call of God through the church and pursued a Master of Divinity degree. She was ordained as a Presbyterian pastor in 2007. Sara coordinates the newly formed Spiritual Formation ministry at First Presbyterian, Colorado Springs. She is deeply interested in the area of worship and is the producer of a daily devotional CD, entitled “Hearts on Pilgrimage,” combining scripture, music, and prayer to trigger time with God.

Concert Artist

Jon Abel

  • Jon Abel In addition to playing events/concerts nationwide, Jon leads the 1105 worship gathering at his home congregation, Highland Park Presbyterian in Dallas, TX. A songwriter with Nashville’s Universal/Brentwood Benson Music, Jon recently garnered his first Gold Record for his song “Awesome is the Lord Most High,” on Chris Tomlin’s two-time Grammy-nominated See The Morning album.

Worship Leaders

The Mosaic Band

  • The Mosaic Band, led by Andy Gathman, is the “house band” for the Mosaic worship service at Central Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, MD. This unique ensemble has a music repertoire that spans the 4th century to today.

Program Fee

On or before May 31:

  • $115 – adult
  • $60 – child/youth/college
  • $80 – graduate students/seminarians
  • $295 – family maximum

After May 31:

  • $140 – adult
  • $80 – child/youth/college
  • $100 – graduate students/seminarians
  • $350 – family maximum

Cost for Housing and Meals

Rates are per person and include all room and meal charges for the entire conference (Saturday supper-Tuesday lunch). No adjustments to package will be made except for extended stay. Meals for children ages 5-11: $46.87; under 5: no charge. No room charge for children under 12 years of age in the same room with parent(s).

Assembly Inn

  • Single, Private Bath: $379.83
  • Single, Connecting Bath: $318.42
  • Double, Private Bath: $253.77 per person
  • Double, Connecting Bath: $237.60 per person

Cancellation refunds for housing in Assembly Inn will be awarded in the following ways:

  • Full refund if notice of cancellation is received on or before May 22;
  • Full refund less $40 if notice of cancellation is received after May 22, but before June 26;
  • No refunds will be given after June 26;
  • All requests for refunds must be in writing and received by Montreat Conference Center via email, fax, or U.S. mail.
