Celebrating the Past, Preparing for the Future

A Local Church & Mexico Mission Network Meeting
The National Presbyterian Church of Mexico (INPM) made a decision on August 19, 2011 to sever the historic 139-year relationship between INPM and the Presbyterian Church (USA). The decision was in response to the PC(USA) action on Amendment 10-A regarding ordination standards. PC(USA) has had 11 mission co-workers in Mexico and the US-Mexico border region. In addition, 18 presbyteries and 3 synods have partnership efforts in Mexico. The Mexico Mission Network has over 160 participants from synods, presbyteries and congregations across the denomination.

The Presbyterian Heritage Center mission heritage exhibit this year is focused on the history of the Mexico Missions (1850 – present) and offers World Mission Office (PCUSA), the Montreat Conference Center and the Presbyterian Heritage Center a unique opportunity for a program that both celebrates our Mexico mission heritage and helps our church envision the future of our mission partnership with Mexico churches.

The Mexico Mission Network was established among the churches, presbyteries, agencies and individuals involved in partnerships and connections with Presbyterians in Mexico. All those attending can be part of it.
Purpose
To celebrate and give thanks for the fruit of Presbyterian mission work in Mexico.
To understand better the present situation in relation to the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico.
To envision the future of PC(USA) mission involvement with Mexico.
