Inns

Located on either side of Lake Susan, both facilities offer simplified hotel-style lodging. Assembly Inn is accessible to persons in wheelchairs.

Guest Lodges

Our 8 lodges are scattered among the private residences in the Montreat community and are all within minutes of Lake Susan.  A favorite choice for church, group, and family retreats!

Campgrounds

For individuals and groups wanting a more rustic visit to Montreat, our camp sites are located in a quiet cove at the base of Graybeard Mountain.

General Information

Check-In Procedure
Check in begins at 3:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Group leaders should check in at the Assembly Inn front desk in the main lobby. A complete list of names for guests of the Inns or lodges is required before keys will be issued. Please note that alcoholic beverages are prohibited in public areas that will be used by other groups.

Payment Information
In order to confirm your reservation, the following payments/deposits are due upon booking:

  • A Housing Deposit of $50 per room for the Assembly Inn. It is non-refundable and will be applied to your final bill. Sixty (60) days prior to your arrival date, an additional $50 advance room payment deposit is required
  • A deposit of one-night’s stay for all lodges reserved (including Winsborough Inn). It is non-refundable and will be applied to your final bill.
  • The Facilities Fee, if applicable, guarantees and reserves meeting rooms, recreational facilities and audio/visual equipment. It is due at the time of booking and is not refundable.

Costs will be compiled into one group bill. Individual payments will incur a $25 processing fee per folio. Upon check-in, please be prepared to pay your estimated balance due. This amount will be available when housing lists and refreshment requests have been obtained.

Refunds And Cancellation Policies
Housing/lodge/facility fee deposits are non-refundable; however, groups that cancel with at least a sixty-(60)-day notice from their arrival date are given the chance to re-book reservations within a twelve (12) month period, wherein all payments accrued are applied to future bill. In case of cancellations with less than sixty-(60)-day notice, there is a cancellation charge of one-night’s stay per room for Assembly Inn and one-night’s stay for each lodge reserved.

Inclement Weather Policy
If the State Highway Patrol deems road conditions to be too dangerous to travel, we will work with groups to re-schedule within a twelve (12) month period. All payments accrued will be applied to future reservations.

Meal Packages are to be decided at time of reservation. Written notice sixty (60) days in advance is required in order to increase meal packages only. Additional guests may purchase meal tickets upon arrival, based on availability.
