Located at the heart of Montreat Conference Center overlooking Lake Susan, the historic Assembly Inn has 98 guest rooms and accommodates up to 200 guests in single, double and triple occupancy rooms, as well as a small Apartment and a Suite. While some guest rooms have private baths and others have connecting baths, all baths are tiled and equipped with tubs and showers. 

The impressive Lobby of Assembly Inn boasts multiple couches and a massive stone fireplace, with a Baby Grand piano and large screen cable TV.  Wireless connections for laptops are also available in the lobby. There are a limited number of rooms with  telephones.  Air conditioning is available in seven rooms, so groups often reserve those rooms for persons with health issues, and encourage other guests to bring fans.  Daily room cleaning service is provided and rollaway beds are available for a nominal fee.  Cribs for infants are complimentary. Assembly Inn is accessible to persons in wheelchairs.  We have 24-hour front desk assistance should you need anything during your stay.  That direct number is 828.669.2911 ext. 300.

Rates for Guest Groups:

  • Single Occupancy: $89.00 per person (private bath), $70.00 per person (connecting bath)
  • Double Occupancy: $50.00 per person (private bath), $45.00 per person (connecting bath)
  • Triple Occupancy: $39.00 per person (private bath), No connecting baths
  • The Apartment and the Suite located in Assembly Inn have a flat rate of $165 per night. Each is equipped with a king size bed, telephone and television, as well as a private balcony. The Apartment has an efficiency kitchen.

The Winsborough

The Winsborough

Across the lake from Assembly Inn is the Winsborough.  This charming stone inn can accommodate up to 61 guests in its 31 single and double occupancy rooms with connecting baths.  All baths are tiled and equipped with tubs and showers.  The Winsborough also offers a relaxing lobby that features a piano and grand fireplace.  Daily room cleaning service is provided.

  • May 1 – August 15: $50.00 per room (connecting bath), No private baths
  • August 16 – April 30: $40.00 per room (connecting bath), No private baths

All rates are subject to 7.75% sales tax. Check-in time is 3:00 PM; check-out time is 11:00 AM. There is no room charge for children 15 years of age and younger if accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s). When only one parent or guardian is present, the single occupancy rate is charged.
