Montreat Welcomes New Assistant Manager of Guest Services

Montreat Conference Center’s ministry of hospitality and welcome to conferees, vacationers, retreat groups, and business partners is pleased to introduce a new member of the hospitality staff. “As a part of our Ministry Work Plan, we are enhancing our guest services throughout the conference center, especially at Assembly Inn,” said conference center president, Pete Peery. In this effort, April Carder will be joining the conference center as Assistant Manager of Guest Services. In this newly expanded role, April will support and manage the administration of the front desk as well as the goals of the Mission Plan for the expansion of guest services.

April Carder comes to Montreat Conference Center with a background as project manager and client liaison for several design companies in the Asheville area. Her experience includes implementation of design and vision, administration of projects, maintaining client relations, reporting, and accounting. April’s corporate and client experience along with her artistic eye for aesthetics will bring a unique blend of administration and vision to hospitality at Assembly Inn.

April holds a B.F.A. in Fine Arts (Drawing and Painting) from Auburn University. She received her M.A. in Landscape Design from the Conway School of Landscape Design in Conway, MA.

A lover of tennis and a landscape gardener by profession and avocation, April relocated to Western North Carolina following graduate school and has lived in the Asheville area since 1996.
