Two New Faces at Montreat Conference Center
Montreat Conference Center is pleased to welcome two new members to the conference center team – Polly Cameron, the new Director of Annual Patrons Fund in the Development Office; and Scott Kessler, the new intern in the Center for Youth and Young Adult Ministry.

Polly Cameron’s face is already familiar to many in the Montreat community. Upon her return to the area after over two decades, during which she gained a richly diverse set of skills and experiences in the areas of communications, public relations, accounting, and office management, she took a position in Montreat Conference Center’s hospitality department. Most recently, Cameron was employed as the Business Office Coordinator at The Black Mountain News.
“The Annual Patrons Fund provides vital funding for conference center operations,” said Vice President for Development John Richardson. “We’re delighted to have Polly’s wealth of experience and warmth of personality, both key elements needed for the fund’s good management and continued growth.”

Scott Kessler comes to Montreat Conference Center from Tallahassee, Florida. A recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in Sociology and Philosophy, Kessler is spending the current school year as an intern in Montreat’s Center for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. His projects during his tenure at the conference center include support for the 2008-2009 youth conference planning sessions and the on-going development of a database documenting the statistics and history of attendance for churches that have participated in past youth conferences.
“Our interns bring a fresh, youthful perspective to what we do here,” said Bob Tuttle, Vice President for the Center for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. “Scott has spent several summers on staff at the conference center and is able to view what we’re trying to accomplish through the lens of that experience. We’re fortunate to have him here with us this year.”
