Activities & Events
Trail Club
Made up of volunteers, supporters, and conference center staff members, the Montreat Trail Club works with the conference center to maintain hiking trails, conduct hikes, and provide environmental education opportunities. Membership is not required to participate in Trail Club hikes or work with a trail crew, but a new membership does entitle the member to a Montreat Trail Club patch and a subscription to The Wanderer, the Trail Club’s quarterly newsletter.

Individual memberships are $10 and family memberships are $15 annually. Join the Trail Club.
New members have expressed interest in the following areas:
- Club hikes averaging 2-4 hours, or longer
- Historical sites
- Tree/wildflower identification
- Wildlife studies
- Birding
- Instruction in trail maintenance
- Montreat Wilderness trail mapping
- Wilderness conservation
Our plan is to continue membership recruitment, organize leadership roles, and plan events. Check the schedules for upcoming hikes in The Wanderer.
