This is your program. Listed below are some of the classes you can choose from to tailor your experience for the needs of your group. If you are interested in a course of study not listed here please feel free to contact us with your idea. Some of the classes below can be customized. For example, many classes (including “Tree Trek,” “Fire,” and “Tracking”) lend themselves to being taught in whole or in part while on “A Walk in the Woods.”

A Walk in the Woods

Sometimes there is no substitute for time spent in the wilderness. We will hike one of Montreat’s many trails, exploring its ecosystems, flora, and fauna first hand. This activity is an all-day event (counts as two sessions) with the students eating lunch on the trail (provided). While the Montreat Wilderness staff is willing to offer this program rain or shine, some groups may want to have a back up selection in case of inclement weather.
