General Scholarship
Limited scholarships* are available for the following conferences:
- Arts & Sabbath Retreat Weeks
- Associate Pastors
- Christian Education (All general funds have been awarded for 2008. Limited funding is still available for persons of certain racial/ethnic backgrounds or persons with disabilities.)
- Church Unbound (All general funds have been awarded for 2008. Limited funding is still available for persons of certain racial/ethnic backgrounds or persons with disabilities.)
- College Conference
- Commissioned Lay Pastors & Lay Preachers
- Fall Evelyn Green Retreat
- Healthy Congregations™ Facilitator Training
- Interim Pastors
- Life-Long Living (formerly Fall Older Adult)
- Middle School
- Reclaiming the Text (All general funds have been awarded for 2008. Limited funding is still available for persons of certain racial/ethnic backgrounds or persons with disabilities.)
- Solo to Multi-Staff Pastor
- Women’s Connection
- Young Adult Weekend
- Youth Conference
- Youth Ski Weekend
*Scholarships cover, in most cases, program fee only.
Eligibility, Application, and Selection Process
- Applicants must be an active part of the Christian church; members of the Presbyterian Church (USA) will receive preferential consideration when funds are limited.
- Applicants must use awards for programs and activities offered exclusively by Montreat Conference Center.
- Applicants must have recommendation and approval from his/her pastor, presbytery executive or appropriate judiciary officer, seminary dean of academic affairs, or seminary president.
- Applicants must clearly explain need for financial assistance.
- Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
