The J. Randolph Taylor Fellows Program

Scholarships for Church Professionals, Missionaries, and Seminary Students
On their 50th wedding anniversary, the late Rev. Dr. J. Randolph Taylor and his wife, Arline, established a fund that would provide affordable residence at Montreat for pastors, church professionals, missionaries and seminary students of the Presbyterian Church (USA) who are seeking rest and renewal through programs and activities at the Montreat Conference Center.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be an active part of the Christian church; members of the Presbyterian Church (USA) will receive preferential consideration when funds are limited.
- An applicant must be a church professional actively serving the church in a validated ministry; or an individual actively serving in a mission field; or a current Presbyterian Church (USA) student studying in a PC(USA) seminary program and recognized as a candidate under care for his/her presbytery.
- Applicants must use awards to seek rest and renewal through the programs and activities offered exclusively by Montreat Conference Center.
Application and Selection Process
- Applications specifically for Montreat conferences are considered on a rolling basis.
- Applications for other opportunities, such as sabbatical or study leave at Montreat are considered within four (4) funding cycles. Application deadlines are March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1.
