The following list of privately-owned facilities and/or cottages is provided as a service for conferees and other visitors to Montreat. Montreat Conference Center is not responsible for the rental of these properties or the condition of the premises. Arrangements must be made by the renter, directly with the property owner or realtor. All facilities/cottages are located within Montreat.

Montreat CollegeMontreat College Residence Halls

Some dormitories on the campus of Montreat College are available for conference participants during the summer months. The residence halls offer single and double occupancy rooms with either private, connecting, or hall baths. All housing is air-conditioned. Linens, towels, washcloths, small soaps, and daily room cleaning service are provided.

William Black LodgeWilliam Black Lodge

William Black Lodge offers accommodations and meeting space for groups from 12 to 85 people. The lodge has recently been remodeled and offers both accommodations and an option for all meals to be included. The lodge features a spacious dining room, lobby with stone fireplace, and a rocking chair porch with long views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Both single and double occupancy bedrooms are offered, most with private baths. Linens are furnished and daily cleaning service is provided. William Black Lodge also has a cottage that sleeps 7 and has a kitchenette available as a private rental, with or without meals at the lodge.

South Carolina InnSouth Carolina Inn

The South Carolina Inn at Montreat, comprised of the William Brearley Home and the Kirk Apartments, is owned, operated, and supported by the PCUSA congregations in South Carolina. Its purpose is to provide lodging and a place of fellowship and personal enrichment for church professionals, groups of all ages, families, and individuals while they participate in the conferences, retreats, study events, and recreational activities provided by the Presbyterian Church, USA at Montreat. The home offers sixteen guest rooms, an efficiency suite, a guest kitchen, and the main kitchen and dining room where a buffet style breakfast is served. The Kirk apartments offer six efficiency units and two ADA Accessible units.

Georgia Lodge 400x250Georgia Lodge

Georgia Lodge, a ministry of the Presbyterian churches in the state of Georgia, has a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Come and share in the fellowship with others while attending a conference or retreat. Rooms have either private or shared baths. Sheets and towels are provided. Summer rates include a continental breakfast. A large deck behind the house is shaded by trees and can accommodate your group for cook-outs and picnics. A kitchen is available with security deposit.

As a service to conferees and visitors to Montreat, the conference center provides a list of privately owned cottages. Montreat Conference Center is NOT responsible for the rental of these properties or the condition of the premises. Arrangements must be made by the renter directly with the property owner.  All cottages are located within Montreat.

If you are bringing a youth group to one of our Montreat Youth Conferences, please contact Hope Barker, Youth Conference Registrar, at for assistance with private rentals.
