Supporting Montreat
Partners in Minstry
With the caring support of many, Montreat’s financial turnaround is continuing. At fiscal year-end on April 30, 2009, $725,000 was contributed to the Montreat Fund with $134,000 coming from our Partners in Ministry.
We rejoice at this success, but we continue to strive toward our goal of $1 million annually to support our Montreat Fund. This fiscal year, which runs from May 1, 2009, to April 30, 2010, our goal for the Montreat Fund is $725,000. To reach that goal and move Montreat’s ministry into the future, the direct financial support of churches and presbyteries is crucial.
Because lodging and conference fees cover only a portion of the $6.2 million needed to operate the conference center, the Montreat Fund must provide about 14% of operating funds for Montreat to meets its budget.
