Montreat Mission Experience

with Asheville Youth Mission

Come dive into mission this summer while you are at the Youth Conference! Montreat Conference Center and Asheville Youth Mission are offering Montreat Summer Misssion Experiences for your group on Sundays prior to Youth Conference registration and on Free Afternoon Wednesdays during Youth Conferences. Your group can add a mission experience to their Youth Conference week by adding one or both days to your schedule!

  • Sundays, 9:00am-4:00pm
  • Wednesdays, 1:00pm-4:00pm

Montreat Mission Experience

Program Fee and Schedule

  • Sunday: $20/person
  • Wednesday: $10/person
  • Both Days: $30/person

Program fees include designing a mission experience specifically for your group (considering your group’s size, needs, talents, and interests) and all program costs. For Sundays, all groups must provide their own lunches to eat on site.

Sundays: 9:00am-4:00pm

  • 9:00am—All groups meet at Montreat for orientation and worship
  • 10:00am—Groups go to work sites (Groups bring lunches to eat on site)
  • 10:30-Noon: Work at sites
  • Noon-12:45: Lunch
  • 12:45-2:30pm: Work at sites
  • 2:30pm—Leave sites and return to Montreat
  • 3:00pm—Debriefing and dedication back at Montreat
  • 4:00pm—Program over

Wednesdays: 1:00pm-4:00pm
  • 1:00pm—Groups leave for worksites no later than 1pm from Montreat
  • 1:30-4:00pm—Work at sites
  • Wednesday groups receive a special debriefing design to do with their groups during Back Home Group time on Wednesday night.

Additional Montreat Offerings

If your group is staying in Assembly Inn, Winsborough, or Glen Rock Inn during the Youth Conference, you can:

Montreat Mission Experience

  • Arrive Saturday night for an additional charge of $25 per room (special discount).
  • Purchase Sunday breakfast at $7.75 per person.
  • Purchase boxed lunches for Sunday at $9.00 per person.
  • Order boxed lunches for Wednesday – no additional charge.

If your group is staying in other housing, you can:

  • Purchase boxed lunches for Sunday at $9.00 per person.
  • Order boxed lunches for Wednesday at $9.00 per person.
